Raiders who broke through the wall of a petrol station have been arrested after a tip-off.

Two police helicopters, a dog unit and officers were deployed to the Texaco filling station in Hartford during the raid. Two men, aged 23 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of burglary shortly afterwards.
Police are still looking for a third man believed to have been involved in the raid. A member of the public alerted police to the scene of the burglary at the garage, on the A141, just after midnight, after he followed three men from the forecourt, believing they were involved in a crime.

A police spokeswoman said: "Scene of crime officers are carrying out searches at the garage following the break-in. Officers were alerted to the burglary early by a member of the public who witnessed three men leaving the garage. The raiders had used equipment to knock down a wall at the back of the garage and we believe it is likely they had been there some time."
